Child and Youth Services Supervisor
Richland County Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced individual responsible for supervising the day-to-day functions of the Child Protective Services and Youth Justice cases in our Child & Youth Services Unit. Duties include conducting screening decisions on incoming calls, assigning workers to investigate abuse/neglect cases, approving out-of-home placements, responsible for a caseload while overseeing case management and court mandates, and approving initial assessments and truancy referrals. Participates in supervisory and regular after hours on-call rotation. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field is required with State Social Work certification. Experience with Child Protection and Youth Justice Programs is required, as well as a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Local availability for emergency on-call rotation is also required. The 2021 wage range for this 40-hr/week certified Social Worker position is $25.73-$26.90 per hour. The anticipated 2022 wage range is $27.54-$28.81 per hour pending final County Board adoption. Includes health insurance, retirement, and other fringe benefits package. Offering flexible work schedule and ability to work remotely.
