Service Worker – Transit
The La Crosse Municipal Transit Utility is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Service Worker. The purpose of this position is to clean and service Municipal Transit Utility buses, clean the Transit and Municipal Service Centers, perform routine building and grounds maintenance, manual labor, operate light equipment such as floor cleaning machines, mowers and trimmers, perform various clerical functions, and operate buses including the Safe-Ride bus. Position requires a professional demeanor and excellent human relation skills to serve the public. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license required and ability to obtain and maintain applicable Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with airbrakes and passenger endorsement and a good driving record. 2021 starting rate for this unionized position in $20.26 per hour. Position will include day, evening, weekend and holiday hours.
