Licensed Veterinary Technician
Are you looking for low stress and quality of life while still helping animals? We may be the home you are looking for! With the flexibility being a private practice, we have re-designed our practice to adapt to these changing times. New hours. New staff. New way of practice. We are open M, T, Th and F and work 10hr shifts. No weekends! We have fun at work and leave on time. We don't over book more work than we can handle and have a lot of time saving technology. The focus is on quality medicine and a healthy, positive work environment. We don't keep toxic clients or co-workers. We have ample staff and personable doctors who practice quality medicine. Our building has been recently modernized to maximize its efficiency and appearance so it feels new.
The Family Pet is located in Ballard (a hip, waterside, neighborhood of Seattle) and are the high end practice in the community. The Family Pet has a lot of personality and encourages laughing and singing, candy and caffeine. We are high tech and fully equipped on site with Computed Tomography, DR X-ray, Ultrasound, K laser, Radiosurgery, DR Dental X-ray, and Tonopen. All our equipment is new, works well and we will teach you to use it. We are paperless and will teach you to use the very functional Ezyvet and Smartflow software. Although primarily small animal, we are fortunate to also see pet goats, mini pigs, chickens, guinea pigs and other small pets which make work more fun. We will help you learn to work with these species if you desire. You will be used to the full extent of your licensure doing treatments, getting lab samples, taking images and running diagnostic tests. Our doctors do exams, diagnose, prescribe, perform surgery and difficult dental extractions. You do the rest! You will have assistants to restrain patients, groom, clean, and stock. Each day you will be working with experienced vets in a positive team environment. We will teach you dentistry skills you haven't learned and help you with procedures you haven't done before. Professional growth, quality of life and excellent compensation provided. If you want to move up and move forward, join us.
